A Benefit for Arts Education Programs at PlayhouseSquare

The world’s most famous nanny will arrive at PlayhouseSquare this summer! Combining the best of the original stories by P.L. Travers and the beloved Walt Disney film, the Tony Award-winning MARY POPPINS is everything you’d hope for in a musical – and more.

Featuring the musical talent of the Academy Award-winning Sherman Brothers, along with additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, such as “Practically Perfect”, the musical features the familiar tunes of “Chim Chim Cher-ee”, “A Spoonful of Sugar”, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and many more.

The NY Daily News hails MARY POPPINS as “a roof-raising, toe-tapping, high-flying extravaganza!” Let your imagination take flight with the magic of Broadway’s super hit musical and the opening night celebration of MARY POPPINS at PlayhouseSquare!

PlayhouseSquare understands its vital role as an educator in our community. With generous support from private and corporate foundations, along with businesses and individuals like you, we invest $1 million annually for arts education programs that, in turn, create today’s great performances and tomorrow’s great audiences.

Through our Arts Education Department, we offer a full range of opportunities and inspirations for all segments of our
c ommunity to achieve and enhance a
lifetime of benefits through arts experiences. We confirm this mission’s value each time we watch children’s faces light up as they experience “live” action onstage. That’s why we have provided a children’s series for more than 26 consecutive years…even longer than we have presented Broadway! Each time we witness the transformation in teens after taking their turn in the spotlight as poet or performer…each time educators thank us for enabling them to weave the arts into their curriculum and enrich students’ lives…each time an adult rediscovers the joy of a new arts experience… each time, our commitment to education deepens.

This arts education investment enables us not only to build future audiences, but to help create
a more enriched and diverse for the future.
Join us for the Mary Poppins Opening Night Celebration
and add your support to this important initiative!
