Event Description

With flying umbrellas, larger-than-life balloons, kites that float over the audience, and the biggest snow globe you’ve ever seen, Air Play is a comic adventure on an epic scale. Be prepared to gasp in wonder, laugh until it hurts and be touched by friendship and affection between two siblings on a surreal, life-changing journey.

Created and performed by globe-trotting silent comedians Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone, Air Play’s spectacular worlds were created by teaming up with air sculptor and inventor Daniel Wurtzel to make new air sculptures for the stage. Besides physically playing with air, the show spins the radio dial creating an auditory “air play,” including Balkan gypsy music, Nordic boys’ choirs, symphony orchestras, Italian avant-garde, Appalachian ballads and more.
