Responsibilities
- Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department.
- Develop sales programs and approaches focusing on single ticket and season ticket sales for all Playhouse Square youth/family programming events and workshops.
- Develop sales plan and approach focusing on the youth market for Group Sales.
- Create sales presentations and schedule off site, on site, and phone conferences with potential clients.
- Research leads and prospects and build relationships with various groups, leaders and customer bases in an effort to create awareness and sales opportunities.
- Research the arts and other industries for marketing and sales ideas.
- Develop ongoing, working relationships with companies and organizations.
- Work with a variety of organizations (social, professional, trade, retail, etc.) to create promotional partnerships that provide mutually beneficial outcomes relative to ticket sales for Playhouse Square; execute all elements of said partnerships.
- Help create and implement sales tools, collateral and procedures for outreach to targeted youth and family groups; may include web site and other resources.
- Track and provide reports on customer profiles and interactions weekly to the Sales Manager.
- Work closely and communicate with marketing staff regarding advertising and publicity efforts for all shows.
- Achieve, maintain and strive to surpass sales, daily calls and weekly appointment goals set by Sales Manager.
- Work as part of a team with audience development and marketing to present opportunities to potential clients.
- Utilize Playhouse Square ticket system for order processing, increases, decreases, cancellations and ticket printing.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Outgoing, people oriented person with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven sales, marketing, and promotional experience.
- Knowledge of current PC hardware and software; prior ticketing system experience a plus.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
