Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Children’s Theater Series and Youth Market

 Responsibilities

 

  1. Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department.
  2. Develop sales programs and approaches focusing on single ticket and season ticket sales for all Playhouse Square youth/family programming events and workshops.
  3. Develop sales plan and approach focusing on the youth market for Group Sales. 
  4. Create sales presentations and schedule off site, on site, and phone conferences with potential clients.
  5. Research leads and prospects and build relationships with various groups, leaders and customer bases in an effort to create awareness and sales opportunities.
  6. Research the arts and other industries for marketing and sales ideas.
  7. Develop ongoing, working relationships with companies and organizations.
  8. Work with a variety of organizations (social, professional, trade, retail, etc.) to create promotional partnerships that provide mutually beneficial outcomes relative to ticket sales for Playhouse Square; execute all elements of said partnerships.
  9. Help create and implement sales tools, collateral and procedures for outreach to targeted youth and family groups; may include web site and other resources.
  10. Track and provide reports on customer profiles and interactions weekly to the Sales Manager.
  11. Work closely and communicate with marketing staff regarding advertising and publicity efforts for all shows.
  12. Achieve, maintain and strive to surpass sales, daily calls and weekly appointment goals set by Sales Manager.
  13. Work as part of a team with audience development and marketing to present opportunities to potential clients.
  14. Utilize Playhouse Square ticket system for order processing, increases, decreases, cancellations and ticket printing.

Qualifications

  1. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  2. Outgoing, people oriented person with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Proven sales, marketing, and promotional experience.
  5. Knowledge of current PC hardware and software; prior ticketing system experience a plus.
  6. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
