A Beautiful Noise:
Last year the Tony Awards celebrated the musical legacy of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Neil Diamond with a performance that was “so good, so good, so good!” Tony audiences dubbed it “the greatest Sweet Caroline singalong of all time.” Get ready to sing along yourself when this rock icon’s musical stops in Cleveland this fall.
SOME LIKE IT HOT:
The hot ticket next season here in Cleveland will be without a doubt the Tony Award-winning production of SOME LIKE IT HOT. The acclaimed musical adaption won 4 Tonys in 2023, including Best Choreography and the award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical going to J. Harrison Ghee, a historic win for Ghee as one of the first openly non-binary actors to win a Tony alongside Alex Newell of SHUCKED also honored on the night.
LIFE OF PI:
Based on the award-winning novel by Yann Martel, LIFE OF PI will set sail for Cleveland January 2025. This spectacular play brought home three Tony Awards last season. A visual and auditory masterpiece, LIFE OF PI was honored with the Tony for Best Scenic Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design of a play.
PARADE:
This revival won Tony Awards in 2023 for Best Direction of a Musical and Best Musical Revival, a big win for the production considering the stiff competition in the category last year from the likes of SWEENEY TODD and INTO THE WOODS. Check out this stunning performance from lead actors Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond from the night.
& JULIET:
& JULIET was honored with nine Tony nominations last year and showcased their larger than life choreo and poptastic score with a performance by Juliet herself, leading lady and Tony nominee Lorna Courtney.
SHUCKED:
If you’re hungry for a heartwarming musical, look no further! SHUCKED was the pick of the crop with 9 Tony nominations, harvesting a win for lead actor Alex Newell.
KIMBERLY AKIMBO:
The most awarded production from Broadway last Season, KIMBERLY AKIMBO enjoyed 8 Tony nominations, winning 5 awards including the coveted Tony Award for Best New Musical at the 2023 ceremony. We love these joyful behind-scenes shots of “Akimbo Taking Home the Gold.”
