The holiday season is just around the corner and Playhouse Square is the perfect destination for holiday fun. There are plenty of ways to celebrate in the Playhouse Square District - shows, decorations and more. There’s something for everyone! Check out some of our favorites below:
Holidazzle presented by U.S. Bank
November 30 from 1-4 p.m.
Holidazzle is Playhouse Square’s free family open house! $5 parking is available at the Middough Parking Lot on the corner of E. 13th Street and Chester Avenue, first come first served.
Enjoy a special kids buffet at the Ghost Light Restaurant and Lounge located in Crowne Plaza at 11:30 a.m. Then, head to the Idea Center located at 1375 Euclid Avenue for face painting and balloon artists and the sounds of the season played by a classical quartet. Snap a pic in the photo booth sponsored by WOW!, create crafts brought to you by U.S. Bank and Meijer and watch PBS cartoons presented by ideastream. Continue the fun by catching the free trolley to Public Square for Winterfest!
Cleveland Play House Festival of Trees presented by K&D
November 23 - December 23
The 2019 edition of the Cleveland Play House Festival of Trees presented by K&D will be displayed in the Allen Theatre Lobby. The Festival of Trees is free to the public and designed to be enjoyed by everyone in our community! Take a photo with Santa and enjoy live entertainment before select performances. The trees are decorated by the area’s most talented artists and designers.
Free Public Tours

There's SNOW better time for a Playhouse Square Behind the Scenes Tour than during the holidays! Meet our RedCoat volunteer tour guides in the KeyBank State Theatre lobby to see the gorgeous decorations in our theaters.
Tours depart every 15 minutes between 10-11:30 a.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. Last tour departs at 11:30 a.m. Tours do involve stairs and we suggest wearing comfortable shoes.
Photo ops on U.S. Bank Plaza
Visit U.S. Bank Plaza this winter to see the ornament all lit up for the holidays! It is the perfect photo opportunity for friends, family and even selfies! The ornament will light up on November 30, so make sure to stop and see it before it’s gone.
Holiday shows
This year, we've filled our stockings with concerts and shows that are bound to leave you feeling merry & bright. Join us for some holiday fun at one of our many holiday shows this season including White Christmas, the Hip-Hop Nutcracker and Cirque Musica Presents Holiday Wishes. See them all here!
