For the past 100 years, GE Lighting has been enchanting locals and visitors alike with the holiday lighting of NELA Park, its world headquarters. This year, beginning December 6, 2024, the tradition continues as NELA Park transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland featuring over one million LED lights, vibrant holiday vignettes, and tributes to a century of festive celebrations.

A Dazzling Display for the Ages
Running along Noble Road, this year’s theme, 100 Years, will come to life through a variety of engaging installations, each highlighting the spirit of the season and the innovative touch of GE Lighting.

Expect a series of mesmerizing vignettes, some crafted with the company’s smart lighting technology. Some highlights include:
- Giant Birthday Cake: Standing at a monumental 30 by 9 feet, this display is complete with glowing candles, cupcakes, and festive decorations that make it the perfect birthday tribute to NELA Park.
- Coal Smokestack Display: Featuring a candle so large it can be seen from miles away, this unique setup is sure to be a standout.
- Season’s Greetings and 100th Anniversary Wreath: A massive wreath with lights, bows, and stars commemorates this milestone year with festive cheer.
- Santa’s Welcoming Doors: Santa himself makes appearances throughout, lighting up candles to add to the celebration’s warmth.
- Vintage 1924-2024 Displays: Take a trip back in time with displays that showcase holiday décor from each decade, including classic cars, candy canes, and festive trees—echoing the days when visitors could drive through NELA Park to see the lights.
- A Festive Selfie Station: A Santa hat complete with red “Ho Ho Ho” lights is the perfect spot for visitors to capture memories with friends and family.
- Winter Wonderland Characters: Snowmen, penguins, and igloos add whimsy and charm to the setup.
- Nostalgic Wreaths, Candles, and Oversized Ornaments: Including Santa’s boot, vintage candles, and oversized lights, these displays evoke the nostalgia of past holidays.
- Musical Drums and Toy Soldiers: Color-changing lights illuminate these playful decorations, making them favorites for children and adults alike.
- Gingerbread House and Ice Skaters: A cozy gingerbread house, Santa, and ice-skating figures round out the magical scene.

One special display is a replica of the National Christmas Tree, a project for which GE Lighting has provided the design and lights for the last 62 years. This year, as always, it brings a touch of national history to the NELA Park grounds.

Energy Efficiency Meets Festive Tradition
Powered by over one million LED lights, the NELA Park display marries energy efficiency with festive spirit. These LEDs, which last up to ten times longer and save up to 80% in energy costs compared to traditional lights, allow the display to shine 24/7 until January 6, 2025.
