Located inside the historic Bulkley Building at 1501 Euclid Ave., Playhouse Square transformed two existing spaces to create The Brasserie and The Bulkley Bar. The spaces showcase designs celebrating the ambience of the historic building. At The Brasserie, guests can choose from an array of coffee drinks, including espresso, macchiato, cappucino and handcrafted lattes. The locally-owned venue also provides a comfortable setting for meetings or a change of scenery if you are working from home.

Across from The Brasserie, guests can enjoy specialty cocktails, like a smoked old fashioned and espresso martini, wines and other pre- and post-theater drinks at The Bulkley Bar. The Bulkley Bar is open daily from 4 – 10 p.m. Both The Bulkley Bar and The Brasserie are located in the center of the Bulkley Building. Guests can access them from the Euclid Avenue entrance or the Playhouse Square garage connector.

Before or after a performance at Playhouse Square, guests can stop by for a drink and check out the new, expanded Snug space at Parnell’s Irish Pub. Modeled after snug rooms found in Ireland, the space features repurposed and handcrafted furniture and décor from locations throughout Cleveland, as well as a gallery wall showcasing personal photos from Parnell’s owner. The Snug is also available for private rentals for groups, as well as holiday parties.

Coming Soon

The Bulkley Apartments

The Bulkley Apartments will add to the downtown Cleveland residential living options this winter.  Playhouse Square has converted four floors of the nine-floor Bulkley Building at 1501 Euclid Avenue into 84 apartments, with a portion available for short-term rental by cast and crew members from shows appearing at Playhouse Square. The new, market-rate apartments include studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.

This winter, The Friars' Table will be joining the Playhouse Square District. The new venture is a collaboration between Brandon Chrostowski, the visionary behind EDWINS, and Cleveland Capuchin Ministries, led in this endeavor by Fr. Philip Bernier, OFM Cap.

Located at 1305 Euclid Avenue, The Friars’ Table will feature a seasonal menu inspired by monastic cuisine, thoughtfully crafted by Chef Chrostowski, who studied this culinary tradition in Europe. The menu will blend monastic tradition with modern innovation, emphasizing wholesome, nourishing ingredients.

Beginning in 2025, Crowne Plaza at Playhouse Square will undergo a full product refresh. This will include the lobby space, guest bathroom conversions, as well as the Ghost Light Restaurant & Lounge, which will be renamed to Brel’s. The new name is a nod to the production in the 1970s that saved Playhouse Square - Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.
